“Courage does not always roar. Valor does not always shine.”
-Tomi Adeyemi, “Children of Blood and Bone”

Iman Stolz joined the Poly community in 2021 as its Upper and Middle School librarian. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Howard University, and a master of library and information science from St. John’s University. Iman was drawn to librarianship by her combined motivation to help others and love of information literacy, and served as a children’s librarian in both school and public settings, including the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Education and Brooklyn Public Library, where she also served as BPLs Civic Engagement Manager. She has had notable involvements with hurricanes, “Baby Shark” — both the song and the animal — and the VMAs — feel free to ask her about them.
